It’s that WILD time of year

In the past 3 months of my pathetic blogging I’ve:

  1. Passed my classes for Fall Quarter: Organic Chemistry Part 1, Conservation and Biology Fishes and Lab, and Ecology
  2. Went on 3 incredible Field Trips: Yes! In college you can attend field trips…if you study wildlife that is :-)
  3. Vacationed in Maui, Hawaii: great sightings of endangered elephant seal, fish, and coral reefs
  4. Learned some more Swahili: well, I can count to 29 now…
  5. Visited the Happiest Place on Earth aka Disneyland: for the umpteenth time in the pouring rain and it was excellent as usual
  6. Managed to break my arm/elbow while gracefully get off my sailboat: someone should have been videotaping it because I’m sure it was hilarious
  7. Back to school. Ugh.

So, even with the use of my non dominant hand, I will do my best to keep this journal. As usual, I’ll post picks to my flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexastravels/ as time provides.

Enjoy the new year and make the most of each and every day!

Enjoying your blog and passion for all the animals

Other than your arm, what an adventurous three months! I broke my right wrist in the fourth grade (months after I broke my left wrist in the third grade) and couldn’t write a thing with my cast. Of course, this was before computers so I had to complete all my homework on a tape recorder. I’m sure you’ll manage much better than I did!! :) Hope your new semester is off to a good start, otherwise!

    • Haha, yes, it is challenging. Ironically, my first broken bone was with you! Playing helicopter helicopter in your front yard. That was quite a while ago…time sure goes by quickly. Thank you for always being there for me!
