So you’re going on a South Africa Road trip!

I may have never been on a South African road trip per say; I’ve been on long car rides on roads for trips in South Africa, but I think that’s a little different. However, I do know that good company and great music are the key to a wonderful experience.

From that, I’ve compiled a list of 15 songs (greatly reduced from the 100 original that I had) which I believe are fun and perfect for a drive in beautiful South Africa. There are American, Xhosa, Zulu, Spanish, and other cultures which have influences in this playlist. Enjoy:

There are the days…

For the days that are frustrating, that test your sanity, and make you questions what the heck you’re doing…there’s the internet to provide adorable photos of baby animals and baking.

I had one of those days, more accurately, one of those weeks. But today, I decided to bike home between classes bake an Apple Crisp for a potluck this evening and smile at these pics (courtesy of zooborns.com)

Because sometimes you just need be distracted by the sweet smell of cinnamon and apples while gawking at photographs. I used to volunteer at wildlife rehabilitation center in high school and there was a very sweet Fennec Fox who enjoyed getting oodles of attention. He was incredibly soft and made noises similar to how a cat purrs when it’s happy. Yes, these are what gets me through each day. Maybe it’ll help you too!
